Most people looking for a can filling machine are looking at two different machines. One sits on a bench in a taproom. The other is a rotary fill-and-seam block that has to hold carbonation, close a double seam, and hit a real cans-per-minute number. Automatic Can Filling Machines

Our automatic canning machine range is built around one mechanical fact: a can is closed by a double seam, not by cap torque. Fill physics still follows the drink. Beer and soda use isobaric (counter-pressure) valves and cold product. Still liquor in plastic cans uses gravity fill plus liquid nitrogen before the seamer. Viscous drinks get a valve and temperature path agreed at inquiry—not a beer bowl copied onto bird’s nest.

Not the same as bottle filling. A bottle line cares about neck finish and capper. A can line cares about end type, seam thickness, and whether the filler and seamer stay in time. If the brief is PET or glass, start at bottle filling machines or the liquid filling hub.

Searchers asking how a canning line works or how much a canning line costs are not buying a seamer in isolation. A can filling machine is the fill-and-seam heart. A canning line (or beer canning line) is everything that has to handshake with it:

1. How much does a canning line cost?

Answer: There isn’t one price. A filler and seamer is one number. Add a depalletizer, rinser, warmer, pressure tester, and packing, and the quote changes. Tell us can size, whether it’s beer, soda, or a still drink, how many cans per minute you need, and which machines you already have. We price a layout—not a guess for “a canning machine.”

2. How does a beer canning line work?

Answer: Empty cans are depalletized, rinsed, filled cold under counter-pressure, then double-seamed. After that: optional warmer, leak or pressure check, then packing. The filler and seamer have to stay in time with each other—that’s what a beer can filling machine actually is, not a pile of separate gadgets.

3. What is the difference between a can filler and a canning line?

Answer: A can filling machine is usually the fill-and-seam block (or a filler plus a seamer). A canning line also covers feeding, rinsing, conveying, warming, leak detection, and packing. Tell us what you already have—we quote the missing pieces, or the whole line.

4. Can one machine handle beer and soft drinks?

Answer: Often yes, on the same seamer, with different fill settings for each drink. Foam and cleaning are not the same, though. Tell us both products early so the valves and CIP are right the first time.

5. Is this the same as a craft / tabletop canning machine?

Answer: No. Those are small bench canners. Ours are rotary machines for a factory floor. If you need a two-head taproom unit, we are not the right supplier.

6. How are soda cans filled and sealed?

Answer: Cans are purged, filled under counter-pressure so the bubbles stay in the drink, then double-seamed. See the soda can filling machine above, or our carbonated drink filling machines if you are filling PET or glass.

7. What can size information do you need?

Answer: Can manufacturer drawing (diameter, height, end type 200/202/206/209), fill volume, headspace target, and whether the shell is aluminum or plastic.

8. How fast can a beer canning machine run?

Answer: For your can and fill method—not a single number for every size. On this page the range runs from about 1,000 cans per hour up to the 60-8 high-speed machine (catalog up to 300 cans per minute). Foam and temperature change the real speed. Send a target and we size the heads.

9. Is seam quality tested before shipment?

Answer: FAT includes seam checks against agreed samples. Optional can internal pressure tester for production QA after the seamer.

10. How difficult is CIP on can filling equipment?

Answer: Fill bowls and product lines need a written CIP recipe—caustic, acid rinse, sanitizer, with flow and contact time. Beer adds yeast/protein soils; CSD adds sugar films; bird’s nest needs a valve path that actually rinses. We document the cleaning recipe at FAT for the product you buy.

11. Can you integrate labeling after the seamer?

Answer: Yes—sleeve or sticker where required. Most beverage cans use printed shells; labeling scope is confirmed on the layout.

12. We’re not sure beer vs CSD vs plastic can—which machine fits?

Answer: Send can drawing and product description. We route to beer isobaric, CSD can, gravity+LN2 plastic can, or specialty seaming—or to juice / water if cans are the wrong package.
